The Question & Answer (Q&A) Knowledge Managenet
The Internet has many places to ask questions about anything imaginable and find past answers on almost everything.
Brake dragging is commonly caused by broken or weak springs on the drum brakes. It can also be due to a corroded or jammed caliper piston or a caliper that has corroded bushings or mounting pins. Additionally, brake dragging can also be caused by frozen emergency brake cables as well as overextended self-adjusters.
To prevent brake drag, a caliper must remain in correct alignment relative to the rotor. Over time, a caliper may come out of alignment. If the issue grows severe enough, one of the brake pads may remain in contact with the rotor surface at all times.
Brake drag is caused by the brake pads or shoes not releasing completely when the brake pedal is released. A worn or corroded master cylinder bore causes excess pedal effort resulting in dragging brakes. Brake Lines and Hoses: There may be pressure trapped in the brake line or hose after the pedal has been released.
Your pull(drag) may be a sign of a worn tire, bad alignment, or fault in your braking system. An alignment or worn tire will only cause a vehicle to pull to the left or right, it will not cause any feeling as is the vehicle is being weighed down.
My Car Jerks When Accelerating: How Much Will It Cost to Fix?
An acceleration problem is usually the result of insufficient fuel, air, or spark during the combustion process. A deficient spark plug causes the engine to misfire, making your car jerk when you accelerate. The engine may also be much noisier than it normally is, sounding more like an aeroplane taking off than a car.
You can reduce your vehicle’s aerodynamics by: Lifting it — “an inch of increased ride height degrades the coefficient of drag by about 10 drag counts [. 01],” says Wegryn. Adding wider tires.
Because the dragster has parts moving against one another, friction is created. You can help reduce it by making sure the axles are free to rotate, and that the wheels and tires are not rubbing on the car body. Drag: Here’s where aerodynamics come into play.
Drag is generated by the difference in velocity between the solid object and the fluid. There must be motion between the object and the fluid. We can think of drag as aerodynamic friction, and one of the sources of drag is the skin friction between the molecules of the air and the solid surface of the aircraft.

Many aftermarket spoilers are available from sources such as JC Whitney (www.jcwhitney.com) for $150 to $300. These come with ready-to-paint primer finish, so painting them to match your car can cost an additional $100–$200. Click to see full answer.
That probably would be $75.00 to $125.00. Your best bet is to ask a body shop. They could give you a free estimate. If the spoiler needs to be painted then, of course, that is going to cost more money.
Get an autobody shop you can trust to install the spoiler. They might have to paint if for you too if the spoiler you get isn’t painted (This is where a good autobody shop can match the factory paint. The bad shops will do a bad job color matching).
Position the spoiler in place on the trunk. Take your time to ensure that it’s in its proper place. Use a tape measure to check that left and right sides are even. When you are 100% certain of its location, use masking tape on the trunk lid as a location guide.
It’ll hold. I’ve installed trunk Spoiler on my previous cars and my e92 with 3m tape and never had any issue. Make sure the trunk is clean and free from grease/oil and etc. I usually wash my hands after I clean the trunk off just to be sure.
LESSON: Don’t use double sided tape to install the OEM spoiler, use the betalink.
You can remove VHB tape using WD-40, Goo Gone or a simple mixture of water and lemon oil. Since 3M designed VHB tape to be irremovable, 3M also manufactures two devices, the Smart Tool and the Stripe Off Wheel, that are guaranteed to remove the VHB tape and residue from nearly any surface.
