Traditionally, multiple choice tests have been scored using a conventional number right (NR) scoring method (Bereby-Meyer et al., 2002; Kurz, 1999). Correct answers are scored with a positive value, incorrect answers and absent or omitted answers with a value of zero.

The Department for Education recognises grade 4 and above as a ‘standard pass’ in all subjects. A grade 4 or above marks a similar achievement to the old grade C or above. Employers, universities and colleges will continue to set the GCSE grades they require for entry to employment or further study.
GCSE grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) – Certificate and qualification awarded. At GCSE, considered a ‘good pass’, and awards a qualification at Level 2 of the RQF. GCSE grades 3 to 1 (D to G) – Certificate and qualification awarded.
You can retake the final exam up to 2 times. After the first failure, there is a specific window of time that you need to take the test. Per state requirement, you need to take your final exam again within 90 days of finishing the course or your account you must retake the course.
Failing doesn’t mean that you’re worthless, or that you’ll never achieve the things you want. Just as you recovered in the past, you can recover from your recent failure too. Make a decision. “Doing nothing” is certainly an option … but it’s a decision in itself and often one that won’t lead to anything positive.
We tend to work harder: for many, failure becomes the impetus to strive to achieve their goals with greater determination than ever before. Failure gives us the opportunity to assess our actions and search for better alternatives. The process of learning new lessons contributes to stronger brain function over time.
